'Best, worst and only Deadhead store' in French Quarter holds closing sale as construction drags on
Dead on Decatur, the Grateful Dead-themed handicrafts and gift shop in New Orleans' French Quarter, will close its Decatur Street storefront at the end of June, with owners citing the impact of a months-long Sewerage & Water Board infrastructure project. The closure follows the recent departures of Cafe Sbisa and Michelin-recognized LUFU NOLA from the corridor.
