Aug 27 (Reuters) - London's FTSE 100 slipped for a second straight session on Thursday as weakness in bank and energy stocks eclipsed gains in data and software shares. The blue-chip FTSE 100 index fell 0.8% to 10,792.54 points in its steepest one-day drop in 1-1/2 months. The midcap FTSE 250 ended about flat. • Bank stocks were among the biggest drags on the index as gilt yields fell after investors pushed back expectations for the Bank of England's next quarter-point interest rate hike to 2027.
