Companies with zero debt often enjoy greater financial flexibility, reduced risk, and stronger investor appeal, especially during volatile market phases. After filtering out banking and finance companies, and including only those with a net profit of over Rs 100 crore in FY25, we found that 96 smallcap companies on the BSE are completely debt-free. But here’s where it gets interesting:From this universe, we further narrowed it to stocks where Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) increased their stake in the June quarter, indicating renewed interest. This filter led us to a focused list of 54 smallcap companies meeting all key criteria. So far in FY26, the majority of these 54 stocks have delivered positive returns, with 34 of them clocking double-digit gains. Most notable are 8 standout stocks that have rallied between 40% and 70% in just the first six months of the fiscal year.
