Investors closely monitor FII activity, as foreign institutional investors typically enter markets only after extensive research. While it is important to track where FIIs are increasing their exposure, their selling trends can be equally insightful. In the BSE midcap space, FIIs steadily reduced their stakes in about 53 midcap companies over the past two quarters — December ’25 (October–December) and March ’26 (January–March).Looking at stock performance over the last six months, most of these companies delivered negative returns. Notably, around 10 midcap stocks declined between 25% and 50% during this period. On the other hand, two stocks — Thermax, which rallied 50%, and Bandhan Bank, which surged 26% — gained despite continuous FII selling. (Data Source: ACE Equity) Stock Ideas
