Indian equities head into 2026 with a challenging but more balanced setup after the Nifty’s record underperformance in 2025 narrowed India’s valuation premium versus peers, according to CLSA. While absolute index upside may be capped given elevated valuations, CLSA expects improving earnings visibility and compressed stock-level valuations to create bottom-up opportunities.
