
Rob Duhart, Oracle’s chief security officer, said in a statement that the company is “aware” some customers have received extortion emails and encouraged them to apply the latest security updates. In a large swath of emails sent to executives at various companies, a group of hackers claimed on Monday to have breached Oracle’s E-Business Suite, which runs core business operations like financial, supply chain and customer relationship management. In the advisory, Oracle warned customers to update their E-Business Suite with the patches.
