Sensex jumps nearly 600 points, Nifty 50 closes above 25,250— 10 key highlights from Indian stock market today
The Sensex jumped 595 points, or 0.72 per cent, to close at 82,380.69, while the Nifty 50 ended at 25,255.40, up 186 points, or 0.74 per cent. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rose 0.66 per cent and 0.70 per cent, respectively.
