Stock Market Highlights: Indices close higher after RBI cuts repo rate, nearly 40 Nifty stocks in the green
Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: The Sensex rose 447 points to 85,712, while the Nifty added 153 points to end at 26,186. The midcap index gained 295 points to 60,595 and the Nifty Bank climbed 489 points to 59,777. Nearly 40 Nifty stocks closed in the green, with Shriram Finance, SBI and Bajaj Finance among the top gainers. The Nifty IT index rose for a third straight session, led by HCLTech and Mphasis, which gained around 2% each.
