The company has more than 1.2 million monthly active users in the region and Abd-Rabii will be working to continue its success.

Ascenta announced the new General Manager

Ascenta, a leading online marketplace for the mobile internet, has announced the new General Manager for the Middle East and Africa. Earlier in the year, the company appointed Fareed Al-Mahboubi as the CEO. Mahboubi is known for his strong Arab ties, and he is currently the CEO of Mobihub, a leading mobile advertising platform.

The company’s new General Manager will oversee Ascenta’s operations in the Middle East, Africa, and India and lead a team of over twenty staff members. In his new role, Al-Mahboubi will report to Abd-Rabii and the new General Manager.

Ascenta’s new role and new team

Ascenta’s new team will report to Abd-Rabii and will be led by Randa Al-Ghamdi. The company also announced that Abdulaziz Abdessalam will join the company as the Chief Marketing Officer. The two will work together to strengthen Ascenta’s position in the region.

According to Al-Mahboubi, one of the primary challenges the new team will tackle is the need to “maintain the momentum of the incredible growth we achieved during the recent period of high-value engagement with our customers and partners.”

New responsibilities for Abd-Rabii

In his new role, Al-Mahboubi will oversee Ascenta’s operations in the Middle East, Africa, and India and lead a team of over twenty staff members. Among the new challenges that he will face is ensuring Ascenta’s success in the region in the face of “increasing regulatory and cultural challenges.”

In addition to his new responsibilities, Al-Mahboubi will work to enhance Ascenta’s website experience. Currently, the company has three main platforms – Ascenta, Ascenta for Business, and Ascenta for Education – and they are constantly growing. Al-Mahboubi will work to expand the number of platforms that customers can access from their devices.

Key to success for Abd-Rabii

One of the key success factors that Al-Mahboubi will use as his “roadmap to success” will be the “continuing implementation of best-in-class customer experiences and value propositions across our platforms and services.”

Al-Mahboubi will also “ensure the strategic alignment” of budgets and employees “towards our long-term growth strategy.”

Final Words

With his new responsibilities, Abd-Rabii will “continue to drive Ascenta’s transformation as we strengthen our position in the region and beyond.” He also “supports our mission of expanding the reach of high-quality, affordable internet services to those who need it most and will continue to provide leadership to the team in this endeavor.”
