Taking Stock: Nifty manages to hold above 24,000 amid volatility; broader indices underperform
Sector-wise, Nifty Pharma fell 1.5%, followed by Nifty Consumer Durables lower 1.4%, Nifty Realty declined 1.4%, while Nifty Auto and Nifty PSU Bank dropped 1.2% each. Nifty Bank slipped 1%, while Nifty Private Bank fell 0.9%. On the gaining side, Nifty FMCG and Nifty IT rose 0.9% each, while Nifty Infra, Media, oil & gas up 0.3% each.
