US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced their worst half-year since launching in January 2024, with net outflows totaling $5.4 billion in the first six months of 2026. June was particularly severe, seeing $4.5 billion exit in a single month, driven by broad selling pressure across major products like BlackRock’s IBIT, Grayscale’s GBTC, and Fidelity’s FBTC. This outflow trend coincided with Bitcoin prices trading between $60,000 and $65,000, while institutional investors shifted focus to AI-related tech stocks. Although a brief inflow of $273 million occurred in mid-July, outflows resumed shortly after, indicating ongoing investor caution toward Bitcoin ETFs.
